Michelangelo Menu was born in 2002 in Paris where he grew up. In 2020, he worked in Biarritz in a context that inspired him. He later moved to Italy to attend the Painting and Visual Arts course at the Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. He currently lives and works in Forte dei Marmi. His practice is driven by this encounter of different realities which is reflected in the variety of techniques and materials he uses. Sculpture is significant for Michelangelo, but it is painting, whatever the support and its chemical composition, which is his favorite means of expression. His works are characterized by a strong spatiality and are often made in segments for a matter of space and to be able to be assembled in large formats. His eye is attracted by the cultures and subcultures that surround him and for him "everything can be the subject of a work".
